I love old photos! I’m always looking out for them when I go treasure hunting.

I’ve sold a few as well!

I often wonder who the person was and how was their life.
•
Some have a smile and some don’t.
•
We come across people in our everyday life that we don’t know. A stranger at the store, at work, at doctor’s office, etc.
•
We’ve all encountered the grumpy type.
•
Automatically we judge them before we even know them.
•
We can’t see where and what they have been through.
•
There is always a reason why someone is unpleasant.
•
We have to show them grace just as Jesus shows us grace.
•
Your kind smile or a simple hello may make the biggest difference for that person that day.
•
We don’t know what people are going through and we should show brotherly love as God has encouraged us to do. Be the hands and feet and love from Jesus!
•
Turn someone’s frown upside down!
•
Seek out those who need the Son-shine today!!!
•

Often times we say we pray and give it to God but turn around and grab it right back.
•
If we commit to Him what ever it is that we need Him to hep us with; then we should REST in Him!
•
We say we trust Him yet we take back what we give Him!
•
We must trust and be confident God has got it!
•
How can you trust if you won’t let it go?
•
Trusting in Him involves waiting patiently for Him.
•
True faith waits!
•
We must be confident and trust that God is able to do what He has promised!
•
Let go and let God!!!
•

Thank God, He goes before us and sees what is ahead and makes a way!

Sometimes He creates a detour but sometimes we have to drive onward knowing He has us in His hands!
•
The journey may be rough and bumpy and not at all what we expect.

Keeping our eyes on Jesus will get us through it all!

Good morning sweet friends!

Last day of 2025.
•
Let this day be a day spent seeking the presence and relationship-building with God!
•
I couldn’t think of a better way to send out 2025.
•
Maybe this has not been the best year of your life…
Lord knows my family has had some difficult days and more are to come.
•
One thing is for sure…. God is right here with us on this journey.
•
I’m praying for that day when it will change from prayer to praise.
•
Don’t get me wrong, I will always praise God no matter what is happening but I will be thankful for days of all praise and no more longing for anything besides the presence of the Lord!
•
Friend, there are better days ahead.
•
God has gone before us and knows the path we take and the healing that is ahead of us.
•
In our sorrow and sighing, let’s give way to believing prayer; knowing God has got this!!!

Good morning and Merry Christmas Eve to all!

Baking last night for the upcoming family gatherings. Today will be part 2 of cooking some homemade yeast rolls and country ham and huge crock pot of homemade Baked Potato Soup for our Christmas Eve gathering with my parents and siblings and about a million grands and great grands lol!
•
Let us remember amongst all the busy preparations and the hustle and bustle in getting everything just right; remember Jesus!!! Pack Him up and take Him with you wherever you may be.
•
Share His love with family and friends!
•
Mary And Joseph packed up and traveled and carried the most precious gift of all!
•
They came to a hustling and bustling town but found no room for the babe to be born.
•
Don’t shut out Jesus this season.
•
Allow plenty of room for Him and celebrate Him.
•
After all God didn’t have to come to earth and ultimately save us; but He did!
•

Good morning dear friends.

Do the things!!!

My grown kids pick on me for being so “bougie” and “ extra.” It’s fine. I like it.
•
I do the fancy plates that belonged to my grandma. I use the vintage Christmas glasses that I thrifted. I set my table with a real table cloth.
•
I do the things!
•
Why?
•
To show my love for my family and to make this beautiful season special.
•
I may have a stack of dishes to wash but my family is worth it. It’s a labor of love.🩷
•
There is eggnog, hot apple cider, punch and all that for them to enjoy.
•
There are candies everywhere; candy canes, gum drops, chocolate kisses, old fashioned hard candy, ribbon candy. The list goes on and on.
•
Memories are created. The grandsons will remember the special and extra bougie touches Gamma had at Christmas and the abundance of treats everywhere.
•
Most of all they will remember walking into a house of love!
•
They see nativity sets everywhere.
•
They know that God steers this house.
•
They will leave with full bellys, even if it is just candy sometimes lol. But their hearts will be full of love and Jesus too!
•
So do the things!!!
•
Be extra and bougie!
•
But most of all give them Jesus!!!
•
