I used to live across the street from this park as a kid…
in a neighborhood where chaos felt normal. Where sirens didn’t faze you anymore. This was known as the “ghetto.” Where gang fights, gun shots, drugs being sold and survival were just part of life. I remember running inside as soon as you saw the gang members about to play basketball. Or peeking out the windows when you heard the police sirens.

But even then… I believed in more. I wanted more.
This park. This neighborhood. This is where God planted something in me. A vision. A dream. His plans for me.

I remember when we would drive past nicer neighborhoods and it seemed SO far fetched and beyond anything I could ever imagine but I would always say to myself “maybe one day I can live here.”

I’m proud of my upbringing and living in the “ghetto” because they didn’t limit me they prepared me for who I am today. And now I live in those “nice neighborhoods” I once dreamed of.

P.s. my mom owns my childhood house (it’s pictured in the background 🥹) these are the OG swings! But so much has drastically changed in this park in this neighborhood. It’s A LOT nicer and safer now. ♥️

ANGELS IN THE ATTIC (AITA)

2544 Miracle Lane, Mishawaka, IN 46544
We are located on the backside of the Town and Country Plaza. If you enter from McKinley between the Arby’s and Gates Chevrolet, you will follow it all the way, almost to the end of the car dealership’s property. Before getting to the end of their property, look to your left on the back side of the Town & Country Plaza. You will then see our white vinyl sign for Angels in the Attic. Once you see the white vinyl sign on the brick exterior, look to the right — you will see a lilac door. That is how you know you are in the correct place. That door is nonfunctioning, so please go around the corner to the right of that door and you will see a second lilac door on your left-hand side. Please knock or ring the doorbell to be greeted by a volunteer.

⚠️ READ THIS CAREFULLY

We are ONLY accepting the items listed above.
NO regular donations at this time.
Our next full donation day: May 13th

Weekday? Weekend? What’s the difference 😅
How does that phrase go… “Live like no one else now, so later you can live like no one else.”

I get to remind myself that it’s a privilege and I am allowed to be tired from a life I once prayed for.

The long days, the sacrifices, the discipline, the pressure, the growing pains…it all means something. I’m not JUST building businesses or chasing success, (not anymore). I’m building a legacy. One that my family can be proud of. One that reminds others what’s possible when faith, hard work, and purpose come together.

Am I tired and overwhelmed some days? Yes absolutely. Yet I feel so grateful to be able to build a life I love alongside my husband because this is the life I once asked God for.

And to think that this is only the beginning and the best is yet to come 🤯
