My vision for Social 30A was to offer executive director level of social media management to small businesses, with hometown hospitality and personalized communication.

I previously owned a full service marketing agency for 10 years, but recognized the tremendous need for concentrated social media marketing management for small businesses.

Growing up in Destin, and attending the first class of South Walton High School (many years ago), I love seeing the growth and unity in this community.

Yesterday’s Q+A (peep the stories for those in the future) brought up a lot of questions specifically about Planning. So we wanted to provide a more detailed answer for you all.

A great place to start is utilizing the SMART criteria for objectives because they encourage you to think about the practicality of achieving each goal, rather than focusing on things that sound good but might not be feasible. Which can make planning overwhelming or discouraging.

📌 S.M.A.R.T
S = Specific in terms of what needs to be achieved
M = Measurable so that progress can be tracked and evaluated
A = Achievable so that your team has a realistic chance of success
R = Relevant to your business so it’s aligned with overall business goals
T = Timeframe within which the objective must be satisfied

Below are examples of high-level goals for your social media plan:
1. Complete social media audit and implement actions arising from it
2. Create and maintain a social media content calendar
3. Begin regular social media activity, in line with strategy and calendar
4. Create and work within a measurement framework
