Official Statement: Evidence of Aggression and Human Rights Violation by Thai Military Forces
This image depicts the aftermath of a brutal aerial bombing carried out by the Thai invading forces, utilizing F-16 fighter jets and cluster munitions, targeting a civilian site in Cambodia.
On July 24, 2025, the Thai military launched an airstrike on Ta Man Senchey Pagoda, located in Banteay Ampil District, Oddar Meanchey Province, a clearly civilian and religious site of cultural significance.
This unprovoked attack occurred during Thailand's military invasion of Cambodian territory, specifically in the area of Ta Man Thom Temple. In response to this aggression, Cambodian forces exercised their legitimate right to self-defense under international law by retaliating against the Thai invaders.
The deliberate bombing of a sacred religious site not only represents a serious breach of Cambodia's sovereignty, but also constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law and a crime against humanity. The actions of the Thai military in this context demonstrate a blatant disregard for civilian lives and cultural heritage.
Cambodia calls upon the international community to urgently investigate this act of aggression and to hold the perpetrators accountable in accordance with international law.
