This was a cool one to see at the Madrid Iowa show.

This car started life as an RM23N 383 powered 1970 Road Runner hard top. It's obviously been cloned into a Superbird and dressed up like Bobby Unser's stock car.

It is now powered by the 426 HEMI.

The Madrid Iowa show was great.

There were a few cars I've never seen before so stand by for those. The heat wasn't unbearable like it has been the last week. Overcast and 82 with a nice breeze helped.

Campers are a nice source of low mile goodies. This 360 turned over by hand. It's backed by a 727. I have no interest in the whole engine as I already have a few Mopar small blocks in running condition.

I'll add the distributor to my low buck upgrade collection for my 1969 Dodge D100. I have also recently picked up an Edelbrock 318/360 Performer aluminum intake and a Carter AFB Competition Series 600 CFM carb for the truck as well.

Walking junkyards is always a good time.

The 450 means the 427 under that fiberglass stinger hood was rated at 450 horsepower. A 410 horsepower version was also available.

This one has the close ratio four speed. A 3.73 gear was standard on the 450 but 4.10, 4.56 and 4.88 were optional. The 450 also had a solid lifter camshaft.

This Butternut Yellow Camaro was put together by Dick Harrell, for Yenko, at Harrell's performance center. It was sold new at Burt Chevrolet in Englewood, Colorado.

I saw this one at the 2023 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals.

1969 Chevelle SS396 convertible. The car now has 502 power but the 396 is in the garage if they ever wanted to drop it back in.

I love the white interior, top and stripe with the green. Check out the four speed shifter poking out of the console.

Dodge never made a 1971 Challenger R/T convertible.

It's really too bad because this looks killer! This is a 1971 318 Challenger convertible that has been built to the owners taste. It's wearing B2 Light Blue, which is its original color. A white top and interior look great with the blue and they were also the original colors to the car.

The 318 has grown to a 390 stroker and a shaker has taken place of the flat hood. The 904 automatic was built to handle the fresh engine and a 3.55 Sure Grip now fills the 8 3/4 rear. It rolls on Billet Specialties wheels and Goodyear Eagle GTs.

The R/T's quarter scoops and stripes were added and a set of extremely rare elastomeric bumpers were added.
