HERstory made. Twice! 👏🏾

Texas Tech star pitcher NiJaree Canady just secured another groundbreaking NIL deal, and this time worth $1.2 million for the 2026 season. She previously became the first college softball player to sign a $1 million deal, and now she’s back, making history all over again.

With a blazing fastball, a nation-leading 0.97 ERA, over 300 strikeouts, and even power at the plate, Canady helped lead Texas Tech to their first-ever Women’s College World Series final. Now she’s proving that elite Black women athletes can’t just play the game, they can change it.

This is more than just a contract. It’s a cultural shift in softball, sports, and NIL equity. The bar has been raised. 🙌🏾🔥
