Dinner du Nord II on Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis was last night.

The weather was perfect, and 2095 of the 2100 people in attendance were fantastic. The story of those final 5 people will be something Susan and I talk about for years to come - but in keeping with our Brand of Being Positive, we will do our best to keep that story to ourselves. Once again - the night was, overall, a smashing success.

The 2026 MN State Fair was a blast. Susan figured out we walked over 100miles in the 12 days, met a bunch of new vendors and small business owners, spent an ungodly amount of money, but had an absolute blast. Here’s the grand rounds we did at the end of Day 12 - with all the vendors we could find to congratulate on a Fair Well Done.

You know you’ve been at the Fair “too much” when you start opting for normal food! 😝

This meal is a good deal at only $7 for w big helping of spaghetti, with a slice of garlic bread. Susan reports: the sauce is tasty!

Day 12, the last day!
11 days ago (or 12, how do you count?) we came for the food. Around day 8, we got HOOKED and decided to do ALL 12 DAYS! We made it! 🤪

Sometimes the best food stands sit right in plain sight for 47 years and we walk right by without knowing. Thanks to Nick at Demetris, who got this pie for us, we were able to get filled up for dinner AND spread the joy of good pizza around the Fair. Spaghetti Eddie’s has big slices of classic NY Style pizza! And they don’t have a ridiculously long line (they should though!) Grab a slice to eat on your way home and another slice to have for lunch tomorrow!
PERFECT STATE FAIR MEAL HACK FOR 2:
Get a slice from Eddies, and a Greek salad with a side of tzatziki from Demetris. Perfect pairing & perfect amount for 2 people!
