Carry wherever you want. IDC. Church. School. Courthouse. Plane. Give everyone a gun and even the playing field. Seriously. But know this: you're not the only one to have a gun and carrying a gun comes with it an inherent set of risks and issues. Even legally carrying, which I said I'm all in favor of, I'm a big 2A advocate, if you engage physically with someone, let alone someone else with a gun, LET ALONE ILLEGALLY engage with federal law enforcement, there's a MUCH, MUCH higher probability that you wind up either shooting someone or getting shot, than if you just stayed away, didn't break the law or weren't carrying to begin with. Those are the rules. I didn't write them. I didn't make them up. But if you have a CCW then you KNOW the rules and statistics. So this isn't about cognitive dissidence. It's about common sense. And it's tragic that this guy lost his life but he came packing and got physical. And them are the breaks.
Now, let's talk about these young ladies, many YOUNG GIRLS, that just were trying to live their lives and go about their days minding their own business when someone here illegally raped/killed them. And this guy, this PERFECT NURSE, that was carrying Constitutionally, was standing up for their killers and rapists by fighting the law for, not the victims, but the p**o rapists and killers. As a dad of 3 girls, you'll find I have zero sympathy for guys like him. And I don't have much, if any, sympathy for his parents and family.
Yet, I see good people, feeling justified, to argue with friends and post on their timelines, angry about what happened to peretti and good but didn't say a peep about being angry about what happened to these girls.
And let me go further: the amount of people upset about Peretti and Good and what happened to them that are posting and arguing in favor of them, DIDN'T SAY A WORD when a veteran was killed,, nay murdered, UNARMED at the Capital, and they gave her killer a medal. Her name was Ashley Babbitt. SAY HER NAME. And if you're not as upset about her than your ridiculous anger and outrage here is more than just a little HYPOCRITICAL.
