We hosted a powerful evening at Tarbiya Roseville featuring Imam Azeez and Sr. Mashal, unpacking IMAR’s founding vision and the Qur’anic idea of Imarat al Ard (building and renewing civilization through divine purpose).

They emphasized that to fulfill the Qur’anic call to al-bayyinah (clear evidence and moral clarity) Muslims must deeply understand the context in which they live. The discussion invited the audience to envision the next hundred years of Islam in America, drawing on the Qur’anic principle of ummatan wasatan, a balanced community restoring moral equilibrium in a world of extremes (Qur’an 96:6–7).

They concluded by identifying key arenas where Muslims must bring clarity and moral leadership: mental health and loneliness, addiction, family and intimacy, fertility, inequality and debt, policing and prisons, bioethics, education, pluralism, war, labor and capitalism, and urban design. The conversation marked another step in IMAR’s mission to shape a generation of Muslims who advance Islam as a civilizational force for good.

****As a reminder, for youth under age 18: this deadline is just to declare your intention to submit. Your final product will not have to be complete until 2026. For adults age 18 and over, this deadline is to submit a very brief synopsis of your idea and upon submission and review, we will work with you over the next few months to fully develop your idea/product.****

We are seeking a Podcast Producer with strong technical management skills to oversee the production of IMAR’s upcoming podcast. This volunteer role is ideal for someone who loves audio storytelling, has a knack for tech, and wants to contribute to meaningful conversations that shape Muslim public thought. Key Responsibilities

Recording & Audio Management
• Research and recommend equipment and setup within budget.
• Set up, test, and manage recording equipment.
• Ensure clear, high-quality audio for both hosts and guests.

Post-Production
• Edit audio files to remove background noise, pauses, and errors.
• Mix and master final episodes for polished listening experience.
• Add intro/outro music, sponsor credits, and transitions.

Tech Oversight
• Manage podcast hosting platforms (e.g., Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube).
• Upload, tag, and schedule episodes across platforms.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain smooth workflows.

Process Improvement
• Develop streamlined systems for recording, editing, and publishing.
• Train or support other volunteers in tech-related aspects as needed.

Thank you to our community for joining us in celebrating the launch of IMAR and the release of our first three publications. Alhamdulillah we are blessed for your love and support.

We spent the afternoon listening to our authors discuss their individual books and learning more about IMAR’s mission as a think tank and publisher. Those who pre-ordered books picked them up at the event and copies were available for purchase. We closed out the afternoon with book signings.

The gathering was made more sweet with the hospitality of Haraz Coffee House.
