On Thursday, July 24th, the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) in Kuala Lampur hosted Imam Azeez for an engaging discussion on challenges and opportunities facing Muslims in the West and in Malaysia. Topics discussed included issues around identity, public perception, and youth engagement. Imam Azeez and IAIS representatives identified areas of mutual interest and explored potential collaboration.

Imam Azeez thanks the following individuals for his warm reception: Deputy CEO Dr Ahmad Badri Abdullah, along with the Former Founding Chairman of IAIS Malaysia, Prof. Mohammad Hashim Kamali; Head of Strategic Communication & Media Relations Division, Mr Muhd. Alhamdulillah, Imam Azeez was honored to be a guest of the esteemed International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization at the International Islamic University of Malaysia. Jazaakum Allah khairan to the faculty for the tour, for the invitation to speak on ‘Cultivating Faith in a Secular World,’ and for the engaging Q&A.

In sha Allah, together as an ummah, we will address the most pressing challenges to faith globally and in our respective geographic regions.
