๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ˜…

๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ’–

5. Hindi madali sa paraang madaming ala ala na kay hirap bitawan, pero kailangan mo itong e let go para makabuo ulit ng alalang for sure huhubog sau ng husto๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’–

Enjoy reading mga kacheka! Laban lang!

From โ€œHow do I start?โ€ to Being Hired on the Spot. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿงฟ

This journey started with a simple message:

โ€œHello po Sir Elle. I want to avail your mentoring program. How do I start po?โ€

Like many teachers, she took a chance, invested in herself, and trusted the process.

As her Principal Interview approached, we conducted a mock interview and focused on strategies for answering questions with confidence, authenticity, and purpose---NOT TECHNICAL TERMS๐Ÿ˜….

Then came the message every mentor loves to receive:

โ€œI got the job offer right after my interview!โ€

Not days later. Not weeks later.

Hired on the spot.

She even shared that the interview panel smiled and reacted positively when she used one of the closing interview strategies we practiced during our mock interview.

Moments like this remind me that success is not about memorizing answers. It is about learning how to tell your story, highlight your experience, and confidently show school leaders why you are the right teacher for their students.

Congratulations, Maโ€™am! Thank you for trusting my mentoring program and allowing me to be part of your journey.

From your first message asking, โ€œHow do I start?โ€ to receiving a job offer immediately after your interview, what an amazing journey.

One message caught my attention:

โ€œIโ€™m also a mentee of another mentor, but I want to try your approach on mentoring.โ€

At that time, she was already approved by multiple visa sponsors and had been applying for a long time, but a Principal Interview still hadnโ€™t come.

Instead of giving up, she stayed persistent.

We worked on interview strategies, authenticity in answering questions, and a mock interview session. Afterward, she shared:

โ€œEffective, Doc, yung strategy on how to answer principalโ€™s questions.โ€

Soon came the breakthrough.

After her interview, she received a Job Offer tapos after a day, dumating na naman ung isang JO.

What made this journey even more inspiring was that she had recently been designated as an Assistant School Principal in the Philippines, yet she followed where her heart was leading her.

And today, that dream is becoming a reality.

Congratulations, Maโ€™am! Thank you for trusting the process and allowing me to be part of your journey. Your determination, patience, and willingness to keep improving opened this door.

Last April 2026, she sent a simple message:

โ€œSir, Iโ€™m interested in your program po.โ€

She enrolled, trusted the process, prepared, and kept moving forward.

Then came the message every teacher dreams of:

โ€œ1st PI, JO po agad.โ€

One principal interview.

One job offer.

No second interview. No long waiting game.

What makes this story even more special is her message:

โ€œAt last nasabihan mo na rin po ako ng line mo na yan, sir.โ€

For months, she watched other teachers receive job offers and hear, โ€œWelcome to Jumerika!โ€ This time, it was finally her turn.

Congratulations, Maโ€™am! Your success is proof that preparation, confidence, and trusting the process can create amazing opportunities. Iโ€™m excited to continue supporting you through the next steps, including the embassy mock interview as part of the mentoring program.

See you soon in Jumerika! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

From โ€œCould I ask for your assistance?โ€ to a successful U.S. teaching job offer. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโค๏ธ

Last January, she reached out with a simple message:

โ€œI have 27 years of teaching experience in the Department of Education, and I am aiming to apply for teaching positions in the U.S.โ€

Like many experienced teachers, she had the skills, experience, and passion, but needed guidance on how to navigate the process.

Together, we worked on her application journey, interview preparation, and mock interview session. After her interview, she shared:

โ€œMalaki ang tulong sa akin.โ€

โ€œI am now equipped with a thorough understanding of how to answer questions.โ€

Then came the message every aspiring teacher hopes to receive:

โ€œHello dok.โ€

Followed by a screenshot of a job offer.

From her first inquiry in January to a U.S. teaching job offer months later, her journey is proof that experience, preparation, and perseverance can open new doors.

Congratulations, Maโ€™am! Thank you for trusting my mentoring program. Your 27 years of dedication to education are now taking you to a new chapter in Jumerika.

Last January 2025, she sent a simple message:

โ€œHello po sir! Pwede pa po ba maging mentee mo po?โ€

Like many teachers, she started with uncertainty, self-doubt, and questions about whether her American dream would ever happen.

After months of applications, interviews, guidance, and mock interview sessions, there were moments when she felt discouraged. She even told me she was expecting another rejection.

Then everything changed.

One job offer came. Then another.

Her message says it all:

โ€œGot an offer sa AK and MO po. Maraming salamat po talaga sa help!โ€

This is a reminder that one email, one interview, and one opportunity can change everything. Sometimes the breakthrough comes right after the season when you feel like giving up.

Congratulations, Maโ€™am! Thank you for trusting my mentoring program and allowing me to be part of your journey. From your first message to multiple job offers, dasurv na dasurv!

โ€ ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโค๏ธ

This message reminded me why I started mentoring teachers in the first place.

I still remember our conversations, from reviewing her resume, preparing for interviews, celebrating her job offer, and hearing her share that she only prayed for a salary of $50,000โ€“$55,000. Then God surprised her with more than she expected.

She told me:

โ€ ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Moments like these remind us that rejection is not always the end of the story. Sometimes, it is simply redirection toward something better.

Congratulations, Maโ€™am! Your hard work, faith, and perseverance opened this door. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. See you soon in Jumerika! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿซ

I have been given the chance by our school to sit down and be part of the interview committee for teacher applicants , and here are the factors I have noticed why a candidate is not being offered or recommended for hiring

1. If you don't research and familiarize yourself with the mission and values of the school. Failing to research the school, understand its mission and values, and anticipate common interview questions can leave candidates unprepared and unable to effectively articulate their qualifications and fit for the position.

2. Poor communication skills, such as unclear or rambling responses, difficulty expressing ideas coherently, or a lack of confidence, can hinder a candidate's ability to effectively convey their strengths and experiences during the interview.

3. Candidates who demonstrate a limited understanding of current educational practices, pedagogical approaches, or classroom management strategies may raise concerns about their readiness to meet the demands of the teaching role. That is why, you need to be always be updated especially on educational initiatives.

4. Inability to demonstrate effective classroom management techniques or address questions about managing student behavior can raise doubts about a candidate's ability to create a positive and conducive learning environment. Don't just give us a general idea about classroom management, give us specific strategies that you effectively use in your class.

5. Insufficient experience or qualifications relative to the requirements of the position can undermine a candidate's credibility and suitability for the role, especially if competing against candidates with stronger credentials. So, if you don't have enough experience or misalignment of degrees, you should not what to higlight in your resume and in your answers during interviews.

6. Failing to provide specific examples or evidence to support claims of instructional effectiveness, student engagement, collaboration with colleagues, or contributions to school communities can weaken a candidate's case during the interview. Please provide DATA!DATA!DATA!

7. Displaying a negative attitude, appearing disinterested, or exhibiting poor interpersonal skills during the interview can create doubts about a candidate's ability to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Do not mention about negative things about your past employer, kahit na alam kung s**ang s**a kana ei, dapat smile parin and try to be positibe ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜… Mahirap pero sabi nga nila "FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT!"

8. Candidates who fail to demonstrate an understanding of, or alignment with, the school's culture, values, and educational philosophy may be perceived as a poor fit for the organization, regardless of their qualifications or experience. Show to the committee that we have something in common, even though you came from a different country, try to find a way where you can prove that if they will hire you, we will be on the same page.

9. Providing inappropriate or off-topic responses to interview questions, such as discussing personal issues or criticizing former employers or colleagues, can raise red flags about a candidate's professionalism and judgment. Yes! Don't talk about your pet, loans etc...iwasan ang pakikimarites! char๐Ÿ˜…

10. Failure to reflect on past experiences, identify areas for growth, or demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development may signal a lack of self-awareness or growth mindset, which are valued traits in educators.

If you have questions, don't hesitate to message me. Hope these tips will help you ace your interview๐Ÿค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿงฟโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™
