The earlier emergency at the HF Sinclair Navajo Refinery has been successfully extinguish by the emergency response teams. All city and county emergency services have cleared the area.

🚧 Highways and surrounding roads are now open and safe for travel.
☑️ Air quality and safety conditions are being monitored by HF Sinclair Navajo Refinery.

🚨 Active Emergency Alert – Refinery Incident 🚨

The Artesia Police Department is currently responding to an explosion at the HF Sinclair Navajo Refinery. Thick smoke is emitting from the plant and drifting over parts of the city.
We are urging all citizens to stay clear of the refinery area and avoid any locations affected by the smoke. Please shelter indoors if you are in the path of the smoke and keep windows and doors closed.

Emergency services are on scene, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available. Your safety is our top priority.

Chaves County Together with Veterans is joining hands with our community to support homeless individuals and veterans in need. As the colder months approach, many in our community are struggling to stay warm, clean and safe.
