🍰 Here are a few of my favorite tips when working with cakes: -After baking, let the cakes cool IN the cake pan for about 20 minutes. -Trim off any rounded tops -Set on a cake board to keep level -Cut in half while room temp -Place parchment paper in between layers so they don’t stick together. -Put in FREEZER for at least 3-5 hours. I usually bake a lot at night, and freeze overnight. And if you are wondering, the freezer does not dry out your cake. It actually does the exact opposite. It will lock in the moisture, and help your cakes stability. Once thawed, it will be as moist and tender as it was after taking it out of the oven. 🍰

🍰 Are you in need of a super delcious Vanilla Cake recipe??? Well you’re in luck. I’ve got just that. This is my favorite Vanilla cake recipe that I use for a base of all of my cake flavors. Once you get this recipe down, you can make any flavor of cake. Pretty cool huh?! Vanilla Cake By: The Blonde who Bakes Ingredients: 3 Cups Cake Flour (I used Lehi mills Cake flour) 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder 1 tsp Salt 1 Cup Butter, room temperature 2 Cups Granulated Sugar 4 Eggs 2 Egg Whites 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
1/3 Cup Greek Vanilla yogurt or Sour Cream 1 Cup Milk Tools needed: Electric Mixer or Large Bowls Whisk Oven Baking spray 3 Cake Pans (6” cake pans or 2 - 8” pans) Part 2 coming soon! Instruction shown in the video. If you have any questions put them in the comment section 💕🍰
