I did this in a rush but I'm happy with the outcome. I couldn't find Christmas decor for this spot for under $50, so I decided to use the decor we already had that fits that spot perfectly.

All from Dollar Tree - jumbo bag, black poster paper, ribbon. Cut everything to fit and I only used tape for adhesion (I'll be using glue later).

I have some tweaks that I have to make, but I'm overall happy with it for five bucks

Chris has been painstakingly renovating our shed, replacing the roof framing and now has been working on addressing everything under the roof. In hindsight, working from bottom to top rather than top to bottom would have made more sense BUT the roof was in desperate need of replacement to protect everything else under it.

He uncovered significant deterioration of the main framing of all the walls and has had to replace almost all the framing stud by stud and corner by corner.

What you see here is years of damage caused by wood boring insects 😳😳😳

It's oddly beautiful though.

GAF just launched a new product - the plug-in roof-mounted attic fan! This is a thermostat-only attic fan that conveniently plugs into a standard 110v electrical outlet in the attic. It helps to eliminate hardwiring and the need for an electrician.

From a DIY perspective, you can't get much easier than this!

Pests can be a big problem. This was caused by a combination of termites, carpenter ants and mice.

Time to reframe.

Any solo DIYer's who are working with sheet goods I highly recommend getting one of these plywood carriers. Cheap and make your life a lot easier.
