I wrote this about that wild & wonderful feeling when you’ve been with someone for a year and somehow it feels like you’ve known them forever — a year isn’t remotely enough to explain how strong it is.

It’s been quietly sitting on Bandcamp for a little while, but now you can find it wherever you listen.

Before “364” was a song, it was me talking to myself into my phone and trying to figure out a guitar part in real time singing out an impeccable impression of a guitar.

Somehow, this voice memo survived long enough to become the finished track.

And today is Bandcamp Friday, so Bandcamp is waiving its revenue share for the day.

So if you want to hear it a week early — or financially encourage my increasingly questionable decision to revive Spaghetti Records — today is a pretty good day. 🍝

Apparently romance is alive and well. It just looks like legumes now.

There is, in fact, a lyric in “364” about the bean that rolled.

Somehow this completely stupid little moment made it into a love song.

Apparently eating a pinto bean off the ground is a viable conversation starter.

That tiny stupid moment ended up becoming part of “364” — including an actual lyric about the bean that rolled.

“It started on a grassy knoll” sounds a lot more suspicious without context.

In reality: coffee, a walk, and accidentally spending basically the whole day together.

So naturally it ended up in the song.

Because somehow “it’s only been 364 days” felt more accurate than “it’s been a year.”
