REALLY COOL!! We were at the banquet and the vases on the tables were all different and for sale at the end. There was this ONE that looked like Oak so kevin wanted it. He was checking out and told them how much it looked like our buck Oak. The person who made them was there and said, “It is. I took that picture from your FB page. All the vases came from actual Rabbits I found on different pages.” 🥰

This vase made it safe to Texas. We are gonna have Oak’s name, 2025 102 National ARBA Convention & Carlie’s Highest Award, “Best Display”, painted on this vase. I love it so much.

Omgoodness what a week. We are finally about to pull into home. 12.5 hours later. Now just gotta unload and get all the babies put away 😩😩. It is the worse part after driving so far.

I can’t wait to get videos and pics posted from this week. One event was Carlie & Muffin entering the jumping contest 😂. I just knew muffin would look at her cross eyed but my little grand-rabbit jumped 18” and ended up getting 2nd place before she thought.. “everyone is looking, bath time is more important than jumping”. 😂

She had her own cheering section .. duh😂.

Well truth be known… THIS I THE REASON we have Mini Rex😂. 80’a noght theme So much fun!!

We got invited to their banquet a few years ago because “it’s a GOOD time”. Then I felt dumb thinking, “I’m never gonna miss a mini rex babquet” but i dont even own a mini rex😂. So we got one.. then 2. Then she “could only have 6”. So she started moving them throughout the rabbitry so I didn’t notice how many we actually have😵‍💫. But it all
Started with this banquet.

2025 National Convention-Youth Best Display❤️

One of the biggest compliments to our herd & breeding is Best display.

Just to get “a number” at convention is Huge! There are so many amazing rabbits here. Only the top 25 get a place. At convention, of those, the top 10 earn points based on their place. All the points are calculated for each exhibitor and the exhibitor with the highest points earns the BEST DISPLAY Award.

Carlie placed 11 Hollands in the top 10 and of these, all 11 rabbits are BolingBabiesRC, bred by my girls.🥰

Carlie has been prepping her show team plus alternates every night until after midnight, then up for school the next day for about 6 weeks. She of course had a few she felt were very good contenders this year for what would be our first ever BOB or BOSB. It wasn’t our year for this but all her hard work was recognized in her herd’s placings.

***REHOMED*** Big Bank is headed to a new barn wanting to work on shorter bodies. He raised his hand & said “Pick me”😃. He looked pretty excited about his new job.☺️

Big Bank is 1.5 years old. He’s a 3.8 buck like both granddad. He is a short buck, nice topline & headset, pedigree is deeply line bred for bone & deeper chest. He needs to be paired with a doe with a nice HEC.

He didn’t bring his best coat to convention. Currently Coming out of a molt and down a little on condition from that and travel.

***REHOMED*** headed to Kansas with a hard working, fairly new exhibitor, Sarah Harms. She got her first Holland just a minute before Texas Nationals 1.5 years ago. Since then shes breeding and listening. Gotta love a kiddo whos coachable! She has a super supportive momma & Aunt who are excited to see Sarah taking so much interest in her herd. Chief is a young senior with more growth coming. Hopefully he can hold his own with the big boys and make her some Short broken babies.

I’ll post the other numbers and mini Rex tomorrow. But wow what a day. Carlie started breeding Jerseys at the end of 3rd grade and her first baby was a Chestnut. Shes had several group wins over the years but never a bob or bosb at convention. All these years later her buck finally did it. Yes There was tears… followed by The biggest smile 🥰.
