We’re keeping an eye on a developing tropical system in the Gulf that could become the first hurricane of the Atlantic season over the next few days.

Current forecasts bring the system toward the central Gulf Coast, with landfall possible sometime Friday or Friday night.

After landfall, the remnants of the system could have an impact on Kentucky’s weather later this weekend.

The map below shows the latest spaghetti plots from the hurricane forecast models, giving us an idea of the different possible tracks.

There’s still plenty of time for the forecast to change, so we’ll continue watching it closely.
