Small Town Wagers--In Production

SMALL TOWN WAGERS FILM IS DOCUMENTING LOCAL DEMOCRACY IN ACTION

Right now Pope County has a great story to tell, and we want to help document it! Diamond State Films believes that the many reactions of Pope County’s community to the casino issue, as well as others involved in this process, is interesting as a case study of small-town America’s interest in aspects of self-determination, economic livelihood, and civic engagement. In the next few weeks, we are filming segments of the documentary Small Town Wagers in Pope County and would like to interview and hear from multiple perspectives and stakeholders.

Any interested parties should contact Frances Roberson. Roberson is the director for Small Town Wagers, and has an MFA in film production from Chapman University. Roberson may be reached on Facebook Messenger through fb.me/diamondstatefilms or 479.970.8030.

Diamond State Films is locally owned and operated in Pope County. The owners are residents of this community. We invite the community to visit and “like” our page at fb.me/diamondstatefilms. This is a work in progress, and we will post relevant news and updates there as they are available.
