Winter Weather Advisory (including parts of Eastern Arkansas)

A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 6 PM Monday until 6 AM CST for portions of Eastern Arkansas, including Clay, Greene, Craighead, Poinsett, Mississippi, Cross, Crittenden, and St. Francis counties, and for Southeast Missouri and West Tennessee. Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations less than one inch and ice accumulations less than one tenth of an inch.

IMPACTS: Plan on slippery road conditions.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon CST Monday for Hempstead, Howard, Nevada and Sevier counties in Arkansas. Freezing rain. Ice accumulations generally less than or up to one tenth of an inch.

IMPACTS: Prepare for slippery road conditions especially across bridges and overpasses. The hazardous conditions will impact some Monday morning commutes north of I-30.

Arkansas counties affected include: Baxter; Fulton; Sharp; Randolph; Stone; Izard; Independence; Lawrence; Cleburne; Jackson; Conway; Faulkner; White; Woodruff; Perry; Garland; Saline; Pulaski; Lonoke; Prairie; Pike; Clark; Hot Spring; Grant; Jefferson; Dallas; Cleveland; Southeast Van Buren County; Western and Northern Logan County; Northern Scott County; Northwest Yell County; Polk County Lower Elevations; Central and Eastern Montgomery County; Van Buren County Higher Elevations; Southern and Eastern Logan County; Central and Southern Scott County; Yell Excluding Northwest; Northern Polk County Higher Elevations; Northern Montgomery County Higher Elevations; Southeast Polk County Higher Elevations; Southwest Montgomery County Higher Elevations

Georgia Election Interference Case Update

The prosecutor who recently took over the Georgia election interference case against President Donald Trump and others says he won’t pursue the case further.

Pete Skandalakis took over the case last month from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who had been removed from the case over an “appearance of impropriety.”

Following Skandalakis’ filing, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee issued a one-paragraph order dismissing the case in its entirety.

Shooting Update from West Virginia Governor Patrick James Morrisey

"We are now receiving conflicting reports about the condition of our two Guard members and will provide additional updates once we receive more complete information. Our prayers are with these brave service members, their families, and the entire Guard community."

Law enforcement officials responded to the shooting near the White House this (Wednesday) afternoon. Metropolitan Police Department officials say a suspect is in custody.

A federal judge has dismissed criminal cases against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The judge ordered the charges to be dismissed on the grounds that interim U.S. attorney Lindsey Halligan who secured their indictments, was unlawfully appointed to the role.

Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene says she will be resigning from Congress in January. In a video posted online, Greene said she didn’t want her congressional district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against her “by the president we all fought for.”

In recent months, Greene has criticized the President for his stance on files related to Jeffrey Epstein, along with foreign policy and health care.

Greene says her last day will be January 5, 2026.

Cheney Funeral Today (Thursday)

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) for former Vice President Dick Cheney. Speakers will include President George W. Bush, Cheney’s daughter former Representative Liz Cheney and some of his grandchildren.

Cheney died November 3rd at the age of 84. He served as Bush’s vice president from 2001 to 2009. Cheney previously served as defense secretary, White House chief of staff and as a congressman representing Wyoming.

He was considered one of the most powerful and influential vice presidents in history.

Breaking News

The U.S. House has passed legislation that would require the Justice Department to publicly release the Epstein files. The House passed the bill today (Tuesday) by a 427 to one vote. The bill now goes to the Senate.

Republican Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins was the only House member to vote against the Epstein files bill. Higgins said in a post on X that the files will inadvertently entangle innocent people if they are released.

Breaking News

The longest government shutdown in U.S. history has come to an end. The House tonight (Wednesday) has approved a funding package by a vote of 222 to 209, ending the 43-day shutdown.
The Senate approved the legislation Monday.

The President has signed the government funding bill.

The legislation will extend funding for most agencies until January 30th and includes three full-year funding bills for other parts of the government.
