The Russellville Fire Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who assisted during last night’s structure fire at Check H Grill & Buffet

Thank you to our mutual aid partners, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, dispatchers, utility crews, and all responding agencies who worked together to bring this incident under control. Incidents of this magnitude require teamwork, coordination, and a shared commitment to serving our community. We are grateful for your professionalism, dedication, and support.

We would also like to thank the citizens and members of our community who stopped by with drinks, food, and words of encouragement for our firefighters. Those gestures may seem small, but they mean a great deal to the men and women working long hours in difficult conditions.

Russellville is a special community, and last night was a great reminder of what can be accomplished when neighbors, first responders, and partner agencies come together to support one another.

Thank you all for your support, generosity, and commitment to keeping our community strong.
City of Russellville - City Hall
Mayor Fred Teague

Tonight, our community took a pretty hard hit. One of our local restaurants suffered a tragic loss. This is a establishment where so many families have shared countless memories over the years. First as Western Sizzlin, and now as Check H., it has been a staple in our community for as long as I can remember.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Dale and his entire work family during this difficult time.
Our local emergency service community showed up in force tonight. Our own Russellville Fire Department, Russellville Fire Based EMS, Russellville Police Department, and the Public Works Department were all on the scene. So many others showed up as well, and while I want to name them all, I truly hope I do not miss any:
Arkansas Tech University Public Safety, Pope County Sheriff's Department, Crow Mountain Fire Department, Pottsville Fire Department, Dover Fire Department.
So many organizations showed up tonight to work and put their lives at risk, doing exactly what they do each and every day.
I also want to say a special thank you to all of those who showed up in a tangible way to support our emergency workers. Walmart stepped up and brought food and water, Walgreens brought water, and McDonald’s provided food. There may be others who showed up and contributed in ways I didn't see, but I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who prayed for and supported the men and women working tonight.
This morning, we will wake up and we will rebound because we are Russellville, and we are the Arkansas River Valley. As a community, we will rally around the Check H. family. We will show who we are, we will prove that we are resilient, and we will support our neighbors in their time of need.
