A spokesman for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office says the Israeli government has approved a framework “for the release of all of the hostages, the living and the deceased.”

According to the spokesman, Israel and Hamas signed a deal in Egypt today (Thursday) for what President Trump announced as the "first phase" of an agreement to end the two-year war in Gaza and to bring home dozens of remaining Israeli hostages from the Palestinian territory.

Breaking News: New York Attorney General Letitia James Indicted

New York Attorney General Letitia James has been indicted on a federal charge of bank fraud and a charge of making false statements to a financial institution. Newly appointed U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Lindsey Halligan, announced the charges today (Thursday).

Halligan said, “the charges as alleged in this case represent intentional, criminal acts and tremendous breaches of the public’s trust.” James said in a video statement that the charges are “baseless”. James was ordered to appear in court on Oct. 24 in Norfolk, Virginia.

Last month Halligan brought an indictment against former FBI Director James Comey on charges of making a false statement and obstruction related to his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2020.

Breaking News: Former FBI Director Indicted

Former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted on one charge of making false statements and one count of obstruction of justice related to his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2020. Comey, responding via a video posted to Instagram, said his “heart was broken for the Department of Justice,” and that he was confident the judicial system would prove his innocence.

A judge has dismissed terrorism charges against Luigi Mangione in the New York state’s case regarding the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The judge kept the state’s second-degree murder charges against him.

Arkansas State Senator Dies

Arkansas State Senator Gary Stubblefield has died. The 74-year old Stubblefield, a Republican, represented Arkansas Senate District 26, which includes parts of Franklin, Johnson, Logan and Sebastian Counties. He was first elected in 2012.

He was chair of the Senate City, County and Local Affairs Committee. He was also a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, the Joint Energy Committee, the Senate Efficiency Committee, the Joint Budget Committee and the Legislature Council.
