In this episode, the men take a deep dive into Acts chapter 27. The Apostle Paul is handed over to a Roman centurion named Julius and begins a dangerous voyage across uncertain waters. What starts as a difficult journey quickly turns into chaos as a violent storm crashes into their path, leaving seasoned sailors fearful and survival hanging in the balance.

Yet through the storm, one truth stands firm:

God’s sovereignty will always prevail over human wisdom. When fear rises, plans fall apart, and the future looks uncertain, God is still in control.

Welcome back to the Modern Day Messengers Podcast. In this episode, we break down one of the boldest testimonies in the entire book of Acts. Standing in chains before King Agrippa, Governor Festus, and the political elite, Paul doesn’t back down, soften the message, or try to save himself. Instead, he uses his trial as a platform to preach Christ.

We dive into Paul’s transformation from a violent persecutor of Christians to a fearless servant of Jesus after his encounter on the road to Damascus. We also unpack the powerful moment when Festus accuses Paul of being out of his mind and Agrippa responds with the famous words: “Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.”

This chapter is a reminder that the Gospel doesn’t retreat under pressure. Truth stands firm even in chains.

Yes, it is true the Modern Day Messengers Podcast is coming to an end. Including this episode there are only 3 episode left in the podcast. We will finish out the book of Acts and that is it. We’re not disappearing overnight we’ve got 3 more episodes to finish out our study through the Book of Acts, and we’re committed to ending that journey strong. But after that, this chapter will officially come to an end.

Now here’s the part you need to hear loud and clear…

We’re not done. Not even close.
If anything, we’re sharpening the focus.
Our team has been pulled in a lot of directions, and instead of spreading ourselves thin, we’re bringing everything together under one roof. Moving forward, all of our content Bible studies, guest interviews, hunting, fishing, and everything outdoors will live on one channel:

Grit, Grace & Game

Same mission. Same heart. Just a stronger, more unified platform.
We’ve already got some powerful guest interviews lined up, and when we kick off our next Bible study, we’re diving all the way back to the beginning with the Book of Genesis.

Welcome back Modern Day Messengers Podcast family. Today's episode covers Acts 25. But before we cover that Devin, Chris and Trey receive breaking news live on the podcast that their childhood hero, Chuck Norris passed away.

In Acts 25, Paul stands trial once again this time before Governor Festus. The Jewish leaders are still pushing hard to have Paul killed, even plotting an ambush along the way. But Paul refuses to be intimidated or manipulated. Instead, he boldly appeals to Caesar, setting the stage for his journey to Rome.

This chapter pulls back the curtain on political pressure, corrupt motives, and the courage it takes to stand firm when the system feels stacked against you. Even when justice is delayed and truth is ignored, God’s plan is still moving forward.

Before we open the Scriptures, the crew kicks things off with some classic stories and banter from life outside the studio.
Chris shares a “scary” tale about the infamous Louisiana earthquake a reminder that sometimes the unexpected shakes more than just the ground.

Devin vents a little frustration after Luke managed to kill the boat battery, leaving him paddling instead of fishing proving once again that patience isn’t just a virtue, it’s survival.
