A new Transportation Security Administration - TSA program called Gateside allows PreCheck members to pass through airport security on days they aren't flying. The TSA said the program is for "welcomes and send-offs, meeting friends during a layover and enjoying dining and shopping along the way." It is currently active in 13 airports.

At select airports, PreCheck members can go through airport security without a boarding pass, enabling them to do welcomes and send-offs at the gate.

American Airlines launched its first retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER plane, outfitted with 70 of its updated business-class Flagship Suite seats and 44 Premium Economy seats.
