As part of our annual Westchester Wine & Food Festival, we hosted an incredible ZWILLING USA Knife Skills Class in the ZWILLING Cooking Studio in Pleasantville. The hands-on class guided by expert ZWILLING instructors demonstrated what makes a quality knife, which knife to use for each culinary task, and how to properly maintain, clean, and store knives.

🧅🧄🌿 Guests learned how to dice an onion, mince herbs, and use a circular rocking motion with their knives.

🔪Plus, all guests went home with a four-inch Zwilling Pro paring knife valued at $79.99 and made from high-carbon German stainless steel.

Last night’s Party on the Pier at Playland Park was a success—especially our annual and highly anticipated Bartender Shake-Off. 🍹

Congratulations to our 2026 winner Alexia Iuni of Invito Restaurant in Elmsford! 🎉

🏆🍹 The winning cocktail is called the Herencia, which is “Inheritance” in Spanish. It’s a rich Abuelita fat-washed cocktail balanced with avocado seed orgeat made from pepitas and piloncillo (unrefined whole cane sugar), using Reposado tequila.

The cocktail is made with cinnamon-based hot chocolate that can be served hot or cold. “Fat-washing” refers to a technique that infuses spirits with rich flavors and “split-based” uses two spirits for the base of the cocktail. Alexia garnished the cocktail with a corn-based churro.

RECIPE 📝

1 oz. chocolate butter fat-washed el tequileno tequila repo
1 oz. el tequileno repo
1/2 alma tepec
1/4 flor de azar
1/2 avocado seed orgeat
3/4 maney syrup
1/2 clarified lime
