I cannot express the gratitude I feel in being asked to display my original painted dress and paint a new dress for in the Portico Gallery at The Art Hotel in Denver. The display will be up through this week if you happen to be in Denver go check it out. Photos do not do it justice. 🥰

My new gold dress, much like my original was painted with meaning. I chose gold fabric to represent the genuine love and kindness of the person the dress is dedicated too (Samantha) I have found that many in the chronic illness community have this trait. So kind, so loving despite their own challenges. I chose four blue hues to represent lost self, lost careers, lost relationships, and lost health. That in itself makes chronic illness terribly difficult. I then poured a rose gold over the top, this is hope. Hope that can bring light into any hardship.

I know you can’t see the full coloring in the photos but I am genuinely impressed with the results- something yet again soo beautiful out of a mess of paint. 🩵

We had a great time at the Art Hotel in Denver for a Fox 31 News interview. Don’t forget we will be in Denver at for a special painted dress and book signing event (for long COVID and chronic illness awareness)! 1201 Broadway, from 11-3 pm. Additionally if you’re planning a wedding hit up the Bridal Show! 🥰 There are so many great vendors in the wedding planning industry. Same time, same place 😘

Talk about coming around full circle, this project took place at the beginning of the pandemic and continues to aid me in my Long COVID recovery. And even though it has been difficult and challenging, I am excited to share the story with you with my first ever book, Throwing Paint: The Healing power of Creativity in the Face of Long COVID. I have three goals with this book, first for documentation of my personal experiences with COVID and the pandemic, second to raise awareness to the complications of Long COVID and for those experiencing the debilitating effects, and third as a therapeutic outlet. Regardless of how COVID effected you I hope you will read it and gain insight into another’s perspective. I have included in each chapter additional stories as well as the photos on the cover from other long haulers who continue to be a loving supportive community despite their own struggles with chronic illness. ❤️‍🩹 For this I am forever grateful
