The Sabetha Herald’s ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Brooklyn Wiltz VOLLEYBALL SABETHA HIGH SCHOOL Senior Brooklyn Wiltz has been a consistent leader for the Lady Jays volleyball team. Her efforts this past week played a key role in Sabetha winning their first match of the season over St. Marys. During their two matches against Hiawatha, and singles matches against St. Marys and Rossville, Brooklyn tallied 77 good hits, 18 kills, 42 good serves, six aces, 24 digs and 33 serve receives.

Today is the last scheduled NOAA weather radio giveaway event for Nemaha County. Tonight, I'll be in Sabetha from 5pm to 7pm at the Sabetha Community Center located at 1116 Main Street across from the clinic.

As was the case with the other events, limit one radio per household and this event is only for Nemaha County residents. If you live outside of Nemaha County, you will not be able to receive a radio. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Sabetha Herald's ATHLETES OF THE WEEK Ava Edelman and Jyllian Stapleton TENNIS SABETHA HIGH SCHOOL On Monday, September 22, the Sabetha tennis squad competed in the Perry-Lecompton Invitational at the Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka. Leading the Jays were sophomore Ava Edelman and senior Jyllian Stapleton, who defeated their Cair Paravel Latin School (CPLS), Maranatha and Sabetha opponents, and lost against Marysville. Edelman and Stapleton took ninth place overall in doubles fashion at the invitational.
