Emil Chendea Local artist looking for a gallery to showcase my work I was born in Transylvania, Romania, a long time ago. On the move again!

I studied painting, drawing, and art history at the Fine Arts High School in the city of Cluj and graphic design at the Fine Arts Institute in Bucharest. Many of my works (designed and illustrated books) were awarded with national and international awards. I immigrated with family in United States in 1980 and one year later I start my first job at Macmillan Educational Company, a division of Macmi

llan Publishing Inc. in New York City as a graphic artist working on important projects like Collier’s Encyclopedia as well as Merit Students, Collier’s and Health Yearbooks till 1995. In 1997 we moved to Florida where I start painting again after many years of interruption. My work was appreciated, being awarded and presented in prestigious shows. Some paintings are in private and public collections in USA, Canada, and Australia. A few months ago we settled in Sacramento and I want to continue my painting job here.
