SMASH-AND-GRAB ROBBERY UNDER INVESTIGATION AT ARDEN FAIR MALL JEWELRY STORE

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — Sacramento Police officers and Crime Scene Investigators responded to a smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store inside Arden Fair Mall just after noon Monday.

The incident occurred at S&L Gems Co., located within the 1600 block of Arden Way. Police said officers arrived quickly after receiving multiple reports of a robbery in progress around 12:00 p.m.

“So far no injuries have been reported, nor has there been confirmation of any shots fired at this time,” a Sacramento Police official stated. No suspect descriptions were immediately available, and it remains unclear how many individuals were involved or what items were taken.

The store sustained visible damage, suggesting suspects used blunt instruments to breach display cases.

Investigators are currently reviewing security footage and interviewing witnesses as the investigation continues. Arden Fair Mall remained open during the incident, but access to the affected section was restricted while police worked.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Sacramento Police or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers.

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in locating an at-risk missing person. The MP is 87-year-old Harold Olson. Harold is at-risk due to a medical condition. Harold is 5'6, 150 lbs, bald, and has blue eyes. Harold was last seen around 7 a.m. on March 19 in the 5300 block of J Street wearing a blue t-shirt and underwear.
