My take: Monarchy was once tradittional. Slavery was once traditional too. Amputation for petty theft was once traditional. Women forbidden from voting or s*x outside of marriage was once traditional.
All commonly interpreted and traditional. All commonly conservative.

No excuse.
And standing precedent set. Humanism is/should be the NEW tradition.

Don't be surprised to see this contentious dispute about protections for homeless people hit the Supreme Court sooner rather than later.
