| I usually don’t even bother writing the end of the year posts because usually there isn’t much to say, unlike this year.
So many big and small transformations happened within me; physical, mental, spiritual.
▪️First, beginning of this 2021 year I was postpartum weighing 190lb. Fast forward to December and I am over 60 pounds lighter. I’ve never been so consistent with working out like this year. I’ve reached a new level where I love it and need it for both physical and mental well being. It’s truly a lifestyle and mind change.
▪️Staying consistent physically has also influenced my habits. Habit of procrastination started to melt away slowly but truly. I’ve become more focused on what needs to be done and more aware of what I feel. It’s become relatively easy to determine my daily goals and make progress. I stopped waiting for perfect timing and instead started using first semi-convenient moments to work on whatever needs to get done.
▪️Taking care of my body helped me shift my focus on my mental state. I started reading again. I am incredibly happy I found a way back to my childhood love for books. If you need book suggestions, I have just what you need.
▪️This year I had an opportunity to deal with sudden negative experiences as well, which gave me a kick to grow spiritually and mentally. I learned to use cool headed judgments and listen to my soul. This experience made me even closer to God. I realized what is truly important in life; Family, being pure hearted, honest, loving, forgiving, wise, humble, doing everything possible to be like Jesus. The rest is of no importance. My motto this year was “just do what a good person what do.”
▪️I’ve been saying Yes to more opportunities this year and met many new people that I hope to keep building relationships with this upcoming year. I’ve learned to be present in the moment. I’ve become more free and less fearful.
▪️Other little things I’m grateful for this year:
Learned to understand my feelings and act upon unwanted feelings and negative thoughts.
Been working on making our home more minimal. Decluttered a lot.
Started working on my insecurity issues. (Continued in comments)👇🏻
