Founded in Fall 2012 from the brains of the Sacramento Brony Meet Up Management Team (an independent social organization), Carlos Alfaro, My Little Pony and Interests creates a fun and positive environment on Sacramento State University campus for fans of the reboot of the animated series 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' to gather and interact with each other. This club focuses on creating st
rong bonds and friendships with other members through team-building, MLP-related and social activities, scheduling group study sessions during the semester and funding and developing leadership skills to bring northern California its first ever MLP convention for the fans of the show-- also known as bronies ('bronies' = 'bro' + 'ponies'; ‘bro’ not being gender-specific). Not only is the club about the animated cartoon series, but one of the biggest goals of the campus organization is to explore, embrace and bond over other interests individual Sac State bronies have in common-- whether it's video games, music, films, other television shows, etc. MLP+I strongly encourages diversity and acceptance within the club. MLP+I hopes to build a strong local brony community through a campus organization that meets once a week-- a day/time determined after surveying interested individuals on their availability.
