October 27, 2025, saw us spending the remainder of our day in Cordoba, Spain, meandering through the city, which exposed the Ancient Jewish Quarter, distinguished by its intricate web of narrow, winding streets, and prominently featuring the 14th-century Synagogue on Calle de Los Judios. Lunch at Ordonez Terraza consisted of fried eggplant with honey, oxtail stew, and glasses of sangria, complemented by a local musician's serenade, prior to our departure for Madrid, which included a stop in the La Mancha region, renowned for its connection to Don Quixote.

10.27.25. Our exploration of the Mezquita-Cathedral in Cordoba continued, highlighting its unique blend of Islamic and Christian architectural influences. The Cathedral's construction took place within the original mosque structure. Currently, it functions as a Catholic Cathedral, while retaining its status as a monument of immense historical and architectural importance, exemplifying centuries of cultural and religious exchange.

10.27.25. We departed Sevilla, Spain and headed north towards Madrid. On our way to Madrid, we stopped by a town of Cordoba and visited Mezquita de Cordoba, a grand mosque that was transformed into a soaring cathedral in the 16th century. We crossed Puente Romano or Roman Bridge. It was the city's only bridge for 2,000 years until San Rafael bridge was built in the mid-20th century. At its ends are the Calahorra Tower and the Puerta del Puente (Bridge Gate).

10.26.25. Our last dinner in Seville, Spain was at La Comilona, a highly recommended restaurant just a walking distance from our hotel. We ordered tapas: Octopus potato salad with paprika; homemade croquettes with mushroom and truffle; Cadiz pork crackling bites with sour cream tortilla, lime mango, aromatic herbs and lemon pearls; and Oxtail bao buns with kimchi mango, pickled onion, and cilantro. The food was great.

The latter part of our day in Sevilla, Spain, was dedicated to exploring the Cathedral of Seville, or Catedral de Sevilla, the largest Christian Gothic Cathedral worldwide and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, also serving as the burial site of Christopher Columbus. This was followed by an exploration of Sevilla's historic old town and the Palacio de las Dueñas. 🥰

10.25.2025. On the third day, we drove towards Seville, Spain, but made a stop in Tavira, Portugal, where we had lunch and ordered fresh caught grilled mixed fish, accompanied by Portugal's green wine. We then continued on to Seville. In the evening, after checking into our hotel, we attended a Flamenco Show then had dinner at Anime Ramen next to our hotel.
