Cielito Lindo Books has reached new heights. We just published We Come From Greatness, Volume 2. More than 50 high school migrant students from Los Angeles County are the featured authors and artists of this amazing book. We are forever grateful for the opportunity to turn young people into published authors. This is something that will give them an edge as they apply to college and seek fulfilling careers. Keep writing your stories! They matter more than ever.

Three award-winning authors were in the house at Riverbank Elementary School in West Sacramento. Maxton, Bronx, and Leticia were so excited to read their bilingual books to Kinder Camp in partnership with the United Way California Capital Region. Children who are heading to Kindergarten all received a free copy of Super Peanut and the Big Bully: The Power of Kindness.

Children enjoyed our newest releases Cielito Lindo Books
Our young author, Maxton Baeza also got to read his new book in Spanish for the first time.
Every child received free books to practice their reading and enjoy the magic of our libros.

What an incredible month of service and outreach.

The highlights include a
Cinco de Mayo Literacy Night for the Stockton Unified School District. My son Maxton got to present his book to families too.

A keynote speech and impactful session with early educators in San Joaquin County about the importance of diverse books in the classroom. (They even earned some teaching credits).

Book writing workshops with 1,500 students at Lincoln Unified.

Countless school Assemblies in Natomas, Sacramento, Woodland, Dixon, and West Sacramento.

Partnerships with 916 Ink, United Way, and the Sacramento Literacy Foundation ensuring children have access to books, and have the tools to create their own stories.

The future is bright for so many young people.

Spring Break 2025 has brought our heart so much joy. My sons who are both authors were both invited to join me to bring our bilingual children’s books and Literacy programs to three schools with more than 1,600 students near Kern County.
Our favorite part was seeing all of the parents and grandparents join in for a Literacy Night featuring and
Families stayed until 9 p.m. for a meet and greet/book signing. We have already been invited to come back again next year.

There is such a sense of love and belonging when our founder Leticia Ordaz visits schools for author assemblies. The bigger the assembly the better. She bring enriching experiences to children that she wishes she would have had as a kid.

We are super excited to be among the featured keynote speakers this Saturday at the Latino Book and Family Festival at Mira Costa College. Taking the stage with my boys is a dream come true. They are young award-winning authors and inspired me to start my own publishing house in 2019.
