The 2026 legislative session opened with grieving families and local elected officials calling on Sacramento to take meaningful action on illegal street racing and street takeovers.

The city leaders stated that ‘the data was clear. These are not spontaneous acts. They are coordinated through social media, driven by repeat offenders, and linked to hundreds of crashes, serious injuries, and dozens of fatalities statewide.’

Cities are asking for a comprehensive, statewide framework that includes meaningful punishment for organizers, higher penalties for repeat offenders, vehicle seizure, and technology-enabled prevention tools.

The grieving families and city leaders stressed that their ask was about symbolism. It is about deterrence, public safety, and preventing avoidable loss of life.

Should politics have a seat in the pews?

For generations, churches have been a spiritual refuge, where rich and poor, liberal and conservative kneel side by side. But a recent IRS ruling now allows churches to explicitly endorse political candidates.

What happens when pastors preach platforms instead of parables?

Are we at risk of losing one of the last sacred spaces untainted by division?https://californiaglobe.com/fr/opinion-a-spiritual-anchor-in-a-divided-world-what-happens-when-the-church-takes-sides/

Gen Z, we admire your budgeting apps and financial savvy, but let’s not confuse micromanaging your night with maturity.

You’re not signing a mortgage. You’re buying a beer. And maybe, a little fun with friends. Make the memories.

“Gen Z, Open the Tab: You’re Not Buying a House, You’re Buying a Beer”

It’s a lighthearted message from your Gen X aunts and uncles who survived floppy disks, happy hours, and learned life’s lessons the fun way (and sometimes the hard way).

Hope you enjoy it. Cheers.

You don’t stop loving America when your party isn’t in charge.

Hector Barajas writes: “To love America only when your preferred party is in power is to misunderstand the very essence of patriotism.”

Criticize, protest, vote, and demand better, but don’t walk away from the idea of America.

This nation was built by those who sacrificed for a dream bigger than themselves. That legacy deserves more than silence. It deserves pride.

Californians are broke, burned out, and tired of footing the bill for climate stunts.

Former Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones calls for more lawsuits against oil companies, but what we really need are real solutions for wildfire prevention, insurance, and affordability.

Get to the Problem: California’s forests are mismanaged.
Activist lawsuits block brush clearing and firebreaks.
Gas is already pushing $5 a gallon.

More lawsuits won’t fix the problem; they’ll just raise prices and force more families out.

We need leadership, not finger-pointing. We need accountability, not ideological crusades. https://californiaglobe.com/fr/sorry-dave-jones-californians-cant-afford-your-climate-crusade/
Sorry, Dave. Californians can’t afford your climate fantasy.

Are Tariffs Working? $121 Billion Says …Yes?!?

Tariffs are constantly criticized but rarely credited.

Yet according to a recent CNBC report, June alone generated $27 billion in tariff revenue, bringing the total to $121 billion collected so far this fiscal year.

Will that solve our $36.6 trillion national debt overnight? No.

But it’s real revenue returning to America, and it’s a move in the right direction.

Jobs Lost, Rainforest Destroyed

California imports more oil from the Amazon rainforest than we produce here at home, displacing Indigenous communities and eliminating good-paying local jobs. Why? To satisfy political optics.

Meanwhile, California oil follows some of the strictest environmental and labor standards in the world.

This isn’t climate leadership. It’s environmental hypocrisy.
