In the spring of 2009, Stan and Lana started the Father’s House project in the Indian state of Odisha. Through our mission, Jesus Unlimited, we built two family-style homes for children — one for boys and one for girls. We also opened a Christian school that not only serves our kids but also welcomes children from nearby villages who come from very poor families. Recently, we’ve welcomed new children because the orphans we first took in back in 2009 have grown up and are now in college. Here’s the story of how it all began.

When we came back after a few services in that church we discovered that almost all the people had left that place in a panic. Tsunami waves stopped only 200-300 meters before our hotel. People who were on the beach that morning died. We were shocked by a picture of destruction and grief. A small beach cafe, where the day before we were sitting peacefully, was completely destroyed. Only the foundation and a pile of garbage and bricks were left. Still at that time we were continuing to carry the message of hope, preaching in a small village church of less than 100 people, situated not so far from Chennai.

For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. (Matthew 24: 38-3

When the first fragile girls arrived at the Father’s House, it broke our hearts. At night, they would sit quietly next to us, watching us with cautious eyes. Some were so scared they slept under their beds. Whenever we walked outside, small hands would grab hold of ours, clinging tightly, desperate for love and reassurance. We are so grateful to our partners who, for years, have helped us care for these precious children. As they grow up and step into independent lives, we release them, making room for new orphans who need a safe place to heal and grow. We invite you to be a part of this mission by committing to monthly support. Together, we can transform the lives of these children.

There was a woman walking in front of me. She was dressed in a bright-colored sari. Her black hair was put in a bun and decorated with very fragrant snow-white flowers.

Suddenly the woman turned back. I immediately noticed that there was something strange about her. Something drew my attention: Was it her rugged features, or unusual expression of her eyes, or maybe a slightly odd walk and figure? And suddenly I realized that it was not women but a dressed up man! When I looked closely at the crowd, I noticed two more men like that! All of them were going in and out of a Hindu temple.

In India, 30% of the population never attended school. Who are the illiterate? They are foreigners in their own country. Slum children can barely read because they finish only five grades. After that, they find low-paying jobs and take care of their families. Sometimes there are no schools in the vi

Almost half of the 32 million people of New Delhi, the capital of India, live in the slums. It is in the slums where rich and not so rich Indians find numerous servants for themselves. “Slummers” (people who live in the slums) mop floors, wash clothes by beating them with a special thick stick in soapsuds, cook meals, wash their masters’ cars, baby-sit their masters’ children and take their masters’ fat dogs for a walk. Many of them get only about 10-30 US dollars a month for their work.

This past year, we welcomed even more rescued children, expanded our educational programs, and watched former residents step into mentorship roles. One young woman, now in her teens, told us: “Salvation House didn’t just save my body; it saved my soul. I know God’s love now, and I want to help others find it too.”

Stories like hers are why we press on—because every transformed life is a victory over darkness. As we carry this mission forward, we need your support.

Human trafficking remains one of the most devastating tragedies of our time. Around the world, countless girls are sold into sexual slavery—often by their own families. In brothels controlled by ruthless pimps, they endure unimaginable exploitation. Many give birth to children fathered by clients,...

After a few minutes of trying to understand what was going on, my wife heard me asking Erick, “What made you decide it is a demon who is speaking through her?” Before hanging up the phone I promised Erick, “We will be there in 10 minutes.” Our day off had finished before it had began. We saw that today God would be using us for a “spiritual emergency”. We were going to cast out demons from a twelve year old girl named Sweety.

"Yea!" we thought, "It's Monday, our day off." To keep from wearing ourselves out, we set Monday apart as our Sabbath, a special day of rest and restoration. "We will walk to a nice park, play volleyball, and just enjoy ourselves..." Suddenly, the precious quiet of our rest day was interrupted by
