Built in 1797 and rooted in a history that dates back to 1565, the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine is filled with incredible details, from its stunning stained glass windows to the hand-painted floor tiles crafted by Cuban refugees.

Exploring the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States was one of our favorite experiences in St. Augustine. From the massive coquina walls to the incredible views overlooking Matanzas Bay, this historic fortress is a must-see when visiting Florida.

We visited the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche, the oldest Marian shrine in the United States. Surrounded by beautiful grounds and centuries of history, it’s a place that invites reflection, gratitude, and quiet moments of peace.
