Our Story

Nightlife Entertainment is solely owned and operated by DJ Jeff Henning. Beginning in 2010, during his own wedding planning experience, DJ Jeff and his soon-to-be wife, Andrea (an experienced wedding planner), were not satisfied with the DJ hunt for their own, upcoming special day. The “cookie cutter” entertainer was everywhere! The need to find an up-to-date, modernized DJ company specializing in weddings but also in areas such as bi-lingual/multi-lingual music knowledge, an understanding of cultural and special traditions, having an extensive knowledge of formal and upscale event planning, and having excellent customer service experience was simply not in our area. It was then that Jeff, experienced with DJ events from his college years, decided to create his own company with a focus in “client led, client honored” and unique wedding day entertainment. As head of the company with over 23 years of experience in the entertainment, DJ & Emcee field, you’ll not find a more perfectly matched entertainer and emcee in Mid-Michigan than DJ Jeff and his staff!

We believe it is our ability to put ourselves in our clients shoes and remember what it felt like- the pressure to plan the perfect day, that makes our services and our team members relate-able. It is with pride that Nightlife Entertainment provides hand-picked, professionally trained DJs & Emcees for our team that believe in the same goal- of specializing in custom wedding day entertainment and corporate celebration events. Inspiring dance floors across the state, creating unforgettable memories and uniquely celebrating every event, is our main client-focused mission.

Our artisan collective of DJs and Production Staff members will create memorable events for you through motivating & savvy playlists, expertly coordinated announcements, seamless and interactive guest involvement without being cheesy, chatty or boringly conventional- guaranteed! We have a highly skilled team, we aren’t the typical “booking agency”where you book the date and never hear from your DJ until the week of the wedding. With Nightlife Entertainment, each client will meet in person at least twice before your event and then stay in contact with unlimited virtual communication through your event end. You’ll work close, as much as you feel necessary, with your DJ to create a custom and vision-aligned day that is the perfect fit for “you”. What also makes our company above cutting-edge: in addition to detail and catering to client desires in event day entertainment, we are one of the only DJ & rental companies to have an experienced and certified wedding & event planner on staff whom is also available for all our couples and their unique celebration needs and concerns. Our entire staff truly cares about your big day and we walk you through all aspects of your entertainment planning.

In addition to DJ and Emcee services, Nightlife Entertainment also provides Mirror & Photo Booth rentals, Dancing on a Cloud, Up Lighting, Custom Monograms, Officiant services, Certified Wedding Planning, Wedding Day Coordination & More.
