Behind Essex’s industrial complex, a network of well-kept, woodland trails winding up to the summit of Saxon Hill are undergoing a transformation.

Nonprofit Fellowship of the Wheel is creating new ascending and descending trails to the Saxon Hill summit in Essex Town. After years of behind-the-scenes work at 80 Thompson Drive, the new trails are slated to open this October.
