♻️ Community Recycling Event Returns Tomorrow, January 7!
The City of St. Augustine, in partnership with St. Johns County Utilities, will host a community recycling event on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 7:30 AM–2:30 PM.
📍 Main Drop‑Off Location:
25 W. Castillo Drive (Francis Field)
📍 Additional Drop‑Off (Used Cooking Oil Only):
840 West 16th Street, behind the SJC Parks & Recreation Office on Anastasia Island
Items accepted include:
🛢️ Used cooking oil
💻 Outdated or broken electronics (cell phones, tablets, PCs, hard drives, printers, scanners)
📸 Digital cameras, stereos, small electronics
🔋 Batteries
✨ Holiday light strands
⚠️ Not accepted: televisions, hazardous waste, motor oil, or paper for shredding.
🌲 Holiday Trees
Residents may place unadorned holiday trees curbside starting January 7 for pickup with regular yard waste.
Please remember: light strands should not be placed in household recycling bins.
