Instead of giving every crop its own bed, try pairing fast-growing crops with slow-growing ones. In this example, lettuce matures in about 60 days while onions take closer to 100 days. By the time the onions need room to bulb up, the lettuce has already been harvested.
Same space. Two harvests.
This is called interplanting, and it’s one of the easiest ways to grow more food without building more garden beds.
