September 11, 2001.
Some dates are more than dates.
They become a place in our memories—
where we remember exactly where we were,
who we were with,
what we were doing,
and how the world seemed to change in a single morning.
We remember the lives that were lost.
The families who never got to say goodbye.
The first responders who ran toward danger.
The ordinary people who showed extraordinary courage.
And the countless lives forever changed by what happened that day.
Twenty-five years later, we may remember differently than we did then.
But we remember.
Today, may we pause long enough to honor those who were lost, those who served, those who survived, and those who still carry the weight of that day.
