💥Please be advised that Anibal Street between S. Poinciana Boulevard and Heron Ridge Drive will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Wednesday, August 6 through Friday, August 8 due to ongoing work on the Poinciana Boulevard Widening Project.

Would your teen or young adult like to learn more about a career in the fire service?
✅SCFR’s popular Cadet Program is accepting applications now through August 17 for the 2025-2026 season, so complete your registration today at t.ly/cMsZO

✅They will be holding a cadet orientation night on August 18 at 7 P.M. at the Alan MacAllaster Training Building, 3335 Cord Ave.

✅In the program, cadets participate in competitions against other fire departments, assist the St. Cloud Fire Rescue Department, and attend training events and meetings that are geared towards preparing for a career as a firefighter.

✅The program is open to Osceola County residents age 14-21, with preference given to residents of the City of St. Cloud.

👮‍♂️ Honoring Leadership in St. Cloud 👮‍♂️

Today, the St. Cloud Police Department officially welcomed Jacob Ruiz as its new Deputy Chief of Police, with the swearing-in ceremony conducted by Police Chief Douglas Goerke.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, including members of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Kissimmee Police Department with Police Chief Charles “Chuck” Broadway and Deputy Chief Kevin McGinley, City Manager Veronica Miller, Councilman Kolby Urban, St. Cloud Mayor Chris Robertson, and U.S. Congressman Darren Soto.

Deputy Chief Ruiz’s wife, Sadia Baxter Ruiz, was also present to share in this special moment.
