The Log Cabin Inn...in Howards Grove...Sooooo good!
We originally went driving around our neighborhood Northern Wisconsin for fish fry on a Friday night obviously. So we came across this place. Man oh man, such good food in there. We had two butterflied perch that was rolled in buttered crumbs and cooked to perfection. Well actually we opened up with the clam chowder. That was such a bowl of love you could taste it in there. Every time I took a different bite, I could taste different flavors coming from the different parts of the ingredients. the potatoes were quite xtraordinary, and the clams were a treat, not rubbery like you find in a lot of these places. This was by far a hundred dollars a meal plate after all is said and done I thought. Imagine my shock when I only saw a bill for $32 including the Bloody Marys Virgin Mary's. All tohrther, not each person. Clutch the pearls!!! It is so good you must go.

Silly me! I ordered the Virgin Bloody Mary before I got to the food. This drink is ginormous. It has, you can tell, bacon and sausage, pickles as well as every vegetable known to man - and a Hot Tomato base to go with. I went to heaven. Then the fish fry arrived! Buttered crumbs on huge butterflied Perch... No way... They didn't do that... Truly the best fishfry near where I was.
