Our Story

The company “Mr. KnifeGuy®” was born in 1999 in Chandler, Arizona when founder Brent Averett decided to come up with a method to increase his own knife collection.

After creating an e-commerce website from the ground up and amassing a world-wide client base of over 1000 customers Mr. KnifeGuy® opened a physical store front in Chandler, Arizona in 2008.

In 2010 Mr. KnifeGuy® moved locations in Chandler and continued to build relationships with customers, knife enthusiasts, law enforcement, emergency responders, knife makers and designers as well as high-end, U.S. based manufacturers.

In 2013 Brent took hiatus from Mr. KnifeGuy® and focused on other business ventures with his wife, Kristi even though he continued to provide great knife deals to existing loyal customers over the phone and through email.
