Last call for novel writing classes for children ages 6-11 or 12-17. I've been teaching this class for 8 years in Hawaii and Utah. It's a great way to help kids learn to love writing. 1st semester teaches students what a novel is, what makes a good novel, and the different parts that make up a novel (characters, plot, setting, dialog, etc.). The last month is spent actually getting all of their ideas into writing. 2nd semester teaches editing, peer, editing, and how to prepare a book for publication. $60 per semester. Classes held in West Jordan.

Novel Writing class for kids ages 6-11 or teens ages 12-17 starts tomorrow! It's not too late to sign up! This is the cure for reluctant writers and a great resource for imaginative kids. Summer writing classes for kids ages 6-17. Children ages 6-9 will each write a short story with one illustration. All stories will be compiled into a book. Each child will receive a copy of the book. Children ages 9-12 or 13-17 will participate in developing a story line and writing a group book with each child writing 2-3 chapters in the book (depending on the number of participants). Each child will receive a copy of the book. The class will run for 6 weeks, beginning on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. Only the first class willl have required attendance. All other assignments will be posted online, although some in-person classes will also be available if desired. This is meant to be fun!
