Rudyard Area Schools graduated 40 seniors from the class of 2026 and sent them off into adulthood during a commencement ceremony Friday, May 22.
Compared to other Eastern Upper Peninsula schools, Rudyard’s class of 2026 might be relatively large, but the seniors have bonds just as strong as smaller schools. Through nearly a decade and a half spent together, the class of 2026 has known hardship, resilience, and friendship.

Pickford Public Schools waved goodbye to 36 seniors during the class of 2026 graduation ceremony Saturday, May 23. The graduates close one book and open another, venturing out into the world.

Finley Guild, honors graduate and the top GPA-earner in the class, welcomed the audience and asked the seniors how often they’ve used the phrase “I can’t wait” during their four years in high school, whether it was for a football game, earning their driver’s license, or taking a final exam for a class.
