The I-75/US-2 interchange is always a busy area as north and south bound traffic for the Mackinac Bridge connects with the east and west traffic crossing the Upper Peninsula. The 65 miles per hour speed limit that starts there continues to be concerning following several serious accidents this year, including the Sunday, July 5, crash that killed former St. Ignace Mayor Paul Grondin.
