Same doors. Same city. Different me (with 15 years in between). ✨

From senior photos to business photos, a lot has changed between these two chapters of my life. But one thing hasn’t: my love for St. Joseph.

St. Joe has its quirks... But it’s also where I discovered my love of reading in Mrs. D’s third grade class at Eugene Field. It’s where I nervously got my driver’s license when downtown had a lot more one-way streets. 🫣 It’s where I graduated from University. It’s where I still play volleyball at the Rec every week. And it’s where I’m choosing to raise my family.

St. Joseph is a unique place with a unique personality. Who better to help share those stories than someone who grew up here, built a business here, and genuinely loves this community?

Whether you’ve been a client, supported us from afar, or simply support local businesses every chance you get, thank you. St. Joe has given me so much, and it’s a privilege to give back in my own small way.

And as always, if you’re a small business owner who has never spent a dime with me, know that I’m still in your corner. I’m still cheering for you, believing in you, and celebrating your wins right alongside you. 🫶🏼

Okay, okay. We won’t *make* you. But, we do have some tricks up our sleeves for those who are uncomfortable being on camera.

That being said, there is SO MUCH value in being willing to show up on socials. At the end of the day, people connect with people. No one likes feeling like they’re being talked at or sold to with every scroll. When we look at client analytics every month, the top performing content is typically always when it’s a face to face Reel.

So, this is your sign. You gotta jump on camera. Or hire my team, and we’ll make it painless (and dare I say, fun 🤭)!

Today, we learned more about Sugar Whipped Bakery (and subsequently we’re planning a Plattsburg road trip because we NEED those donuts 🍩) and also got a *free* mini ab workout from laughing by hearing from local content creator + comedian Elisabeth Wykert! I’ve said it before, and I’ll (keep) say(ing) it again…I am unbelievably proud of this team.

The Paden Link would simply not be where we are today without these two intelligent, creative, driven, and professional women on the team. I had every intention of launching this business back in 2021 and being a solo-entrepreneur just hoping to get a client or two. The growth since then has been equal parts thrilling and humbling. And please, make no mistake, while my name may be on the agency (I thought I would fly solo, remember!?), so much of what we’ve accomplished is because of the work they do every single day.

One of the best parts of what I do is getting to work alongside so many incredible people who are making a real difference in our community.

My friend, Julie Case, is one of those people.

For 21 years, Julie has poured her heart into serving others through the Mosaic Life Care Foundation. I've had the privilege of helping share stories about the volunteers she leads, and seeing firsthand the impact of that work has been truly inspiring.

After attending the recent volunteer recognition dinner, I left feeling incredibly grateful for the people who quietly show up every day to make our community stronger. The amount of good being done through the Foundation and volunteers is remarkable.

Cheers to Julie on 21 years of service, leadership, and compassion, and to all the volunteers who make such a meaningful impact across our region!
