The shipper requires the drivers drop their trailers and go wait off site. Anywhere, just not there. When I started this job nearly 10 years ago and it has not changed. I checked in a little after 12pm. The trailer on their app, and on the phone call is not even in a door yet. So, I came to Walmart and bought some “joggin’ britches” (as Amy calls them), because, guess what? There’s a winter storm warning out west. Yay. And, I’m not in my truck. Guess where all my warm-ish clothes are? In my truck down in Fort Smith. So, to steady my nerves, I went and ran the Walmart-Sam’s Club-Home Depot-Target 5k.
