Are you interested in starring in a film? 🎥

Griffon Media reporter Bailey Woodbury will be hosting open auditions for her film, Vital Signs! 🏥

The film follows two nursing students who do a simulation exercise where they work with a mannequin that starts displaying signs of life. Auditions will be held next Wednesday the 29th at 7 p.m. in Potter 107.

Anyone interested in acting is welcome! If anyone has any questions, they can reach out to her at [email protected]. If anyone can’t make it to the audition but is still interested, they are welcome to send her a video audition. They can shoot her an email and tell her what character they’re interested in and she can send a script.

The film shoot will be on November 8 and 15. 🎬

Below are some short breakdowns of the characters needed.

Jenny: Dedicated, hardworking student. Loves helping others and really wants to be a nurse.

Mara: Bitter, pressured by her mother to be a nurse. Doesn’t truly care about being a nurse.

The mannequin has no screen time and only has a couple lines. She is looking for a voice that is mysterious and raspy that has awoken for the first time.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of a member of the Griffon News family, Joshua Pohl. Pohl was part of the Griffon News staff from Spring 2020 to Spring 2022. During his tenure he served as news reporter (Spring 20), news editor (Fall 20-Spring 21) and Editor-in-Chief (Fall 21-Spring 22). Pohl was inducted into the Society for Collegiate Journalists and served on the SCJ e-board. He won several awards for the work he did with Griffon News and presented at the national CMA conference in NYC in Spring 22. Pohl has served as a mentor, since graduating in 2022, to several of the subsequent editors by offering valuable advice and words of encouragement.

We are in the process of working on publishing tributes to Josh. Please share photos, videos (mp4’s) and written tributes about Josh with Dr. Carviou at: [email protected]. We are going to work on publishing them this week as well as potentially featuring videos in the TV show along with the Griffon News website. Please keep Josh’s family and friends in your thoughts during this difficult time.

Joshua Loren Pohl A Life Remembered It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua Loren Pohl, who left us peacefully, surrounded by family and closest friends, on Thursday morning at the age of 25. A dedicated and talented young man, Josh was a proud graduate of
