Twenty years ago, our family lost my beautiful niece, Miranda Faith. Though she is deeply missed every day, her love for Jesus and her heart for helping children continue to shine through the Miranda Faith Foundation for Children, Inc., founded by my brother and sister-in- law in her honor.

Even from Georgia, the foundation’s generosity reached our community here in Saint Joseph through a donation of Bibles for our Project Backpack Back-to-School Supply Drive.
These Bibles were placed in backpacks for local children, offering encouragement, faith, and hope as they begin a new school year.

It is such an honor to continue Miranda’s dream through Sunflower Marketing & Social Media, Outta the Ashes, and Waterfront Collective. What began as the loving legacy of one special little girl continues to touch the lives of children and families far beyond where she once lived.

🎒 Back-to-school season is here, and we’re coming together for our local kids!

Today, I’m at Waterfront Collective, 209 State Street, right next to Outta The Ashes at 203 State Street. We have two donation boxes available for our Back-to-School Supply Drive, and we welcome any school-supply donations you are able to give.

We will be distributing backpacks filled with supplies on Saturday, August 22, from 8:00 AM–10:00 AM at Outta The Ashes.

Can’t make it during that time? No problem! Outta The Ashes will be open until 6:00 PM. Just come in, ask for Cynthia, and we will be happy to provide your child with a backpack full of school supplies.

We are here for our community and want to help our children begin the school year feeling prepared, confident, and supported. Every donation—big or small—can make a difference.

PROJECT BACKPACK
This project is very close to my heart.
Years ago, I started a back-to-school supply drive inspired by my niece Miranda, who passed away in 2006 at just seven years old. Miranda loved school, loved helping people, and dreamed that every child would have a backpack filled with school supplies-and a Bible.

Today, Project Backpack allows me to keep her beautiful dream alive by helping local children in our community. Every backpack we fill will include school supplies and a Bible, just as Miranda dreamed.

If you're able to help, we would be incredibly grateful for a backpack, paper, pencils, pens, notebooks, crayons, glue, folders, or anything a child may need for the school year.
