Hello everyone! Iāve finally decided to shift this page to be more of a personal space rather than my old work page. So I plan on sharing my life and adventures with you guys.
As for my work status, I do have some exciting news coming soon š so stay tuned.
I also wanted to hop on here and share a few thoughts about this upcoming winter storm.
Iām currently viewing this storm from the outside, but with an inside understanding of what itās like for meteorologists as they prepare for an event like this.
First and foremost, this is a massive system moving across the continental U.S. that will impact millions of people. Snow, ice, sleet, and bitterly cold air are on the way. The cold is already here š„¶š„¶
With first hand experience, I know that understanding weather (especially complex systems like this) is not easy.
Your meteorologists are working their tails off to try and figure things out, and trying to nail down the certainty of this storm. Thereās many different atmospheric conditions that have to happen for a weather system like this.
I highly encourage to watch your local TV meteorologists and get updates from the National Weather Service and emergency managers.
If you are one of the haters saying, that we are only going to get 1-3ā. Read the following:
Letās take a moment to reflect on early January 2025, when a blizzard hit. Many people believed it was being overhyped. That storm dropped 14 inches of snow, shut down schools and workplaces for days, and left secondary and tertiary roads unplowed for up to 5 days in the St. Joseph area.
Road crews worked extremely hard to plow roads so please also give them grace during this storm.
With all of that in mind, stay informed, stay safe and respect your meteorologists.
