Marys, PA, after graduating from Saint Vincent College (Latrobe, PA) I spent almost 10 years working, living and playing in Pittsburgh first in the field of broadcast television for WTAE-TV and then utilities with Equitable Resources. I then decided a change was in order so I solo-traveled for 2 months all across the US with my bikes, canoe, backpacking gear hitting every National Park I could, en
ding up in Anchorage, Alaska. I then headed to Longmont, Colorado (just outside of Boulder) where I found work at eToys in Denver full-time and at the REI in Boulder part-time. I took advantage of my 6 years in Colorado to take every climbing/mountaineering course I could with the Colorado Mountain Club and loved every minute of it. I was also fortunate enough to first intern with, then get hired full-time as a farmhand at Ollin Farms in Longmont. It was then working with Mark and Kena, that I knew I wanted to move back home and start my own farm. We live in State College, however our farm is in St. Marys where our family has lived since the early 1960's. We hope you visit our farm in the near future as we hope to expand our 30 hop hills to almost 400 in 2015 along with offering barley and other grains.
