Goooooood evening to our Katfish family and community! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and is having a good Sunday!
So everyone has been messaging us and asking about our tournament results from last night, so I’m gonna go ahead and get it posted while cooking dinner.
We had a good turn out yesterday for our tournament at Cathead Landing. 13 boats came to join in on our fun to battle it out for the top 3! We had a fun and exciting time and we are grateful for the family and community we have built. There ain’t a team that fishes with us that wouldn’t hesitate to help someone out and give their shirt off their back if needed. Had one team that needed a prop and my buddy/ boat mechanic drove an hour to where we were just to bring a prop and get him running and able to fish. These are the kind of people we love to surround ourselves with. It’s never “Everyman for their own” mentality with us. Thank you Randall!
Even though we had a good time, sometimes though, things can go bad for us. We only had 1 team skunk out and there were a lot of fish brought in. Not everyone had their limit but would have at least 2 fish. With that said though, unfortunately we lost some fish who either didn’t make it to the weigh in or wouldn’t swim and so a lot of weight had to be deducted. First time we ever came across this in the 3 years we been putting tournaments on so our officials were constantly busy timing and helping to try and get the fish to swim off. Thank you to Cris Bradley and Josh Register for yalls hard work last night. Because of this, from here on out, we will be raising our time limit to make sure a fish swims off from 7 minutes to 12 minutes. It was clearly understood after last night that this is a step we need to take moving forward. Because of the amount of fish whose weight was deducted, it completely changed how the final results were at the end of the night, teams who were sitting at 1st would drop out to the middle or near the bottom and this was so disheartening to see this. Especially when these teams fished just as hard as anyone else out there. But, none the less, with that said, here are our final results:

Big Fish: 30.8 lbs
Total Weight: 52.9 lbs

We also gave away a KatDaddy hat to a nice young lady whom I feel bad for not getting her name. We hope you love your hat though.
We want to thank each and everyone of y’all for coming yesterday. Y’all are the reason why we do what we do. We wouldn’t be here and couldn’t do this if it wasn’t for yall believing in us and what we do! Our goal is ultimately to be the PREMIER catfishing club on the upper lake, Lake Marion. Y’all are our fuel to drive us to this goal and it all starts with y’all. Thank y’all so much again for everyone’s continued support!
